Energy Saving Tips
Tip 1 - Installing loft insulation could save you around £150 a year. (ideally your loft should have around 270mm of insulation)
Tip 2 - Installing cavity wall insulation could save you around £115 a year. (cavity wall insultion must be carried out by a professional installer)
Tip 3 - Installing draught proofing around your home could save you around £25 a year. (draughts can be from doors, windows, letter boxes, key holes, gaps in floorboards etc)
Tip 4 - Change you light bulbs to the low energy type saving you around £2.50 a year per bulb. (there are now over 150 different types of low energy bulb to choose from)
Tip 5 - Switch off appliances when not in use, don't leave them on standby this could save around £30 a year.

Gardening Tips
Tip 1 - Save unused seed in a sealed container for next year.

Tip 1 - Try to compost all your green garden waste.
Tip 2 - Try to mix in some brown waste like paper, cardboard, straw along with your green waste.
Tip 3 - Try to turn your compost heap every week to add air to aid the composting process.
